Our Past Gigs
Friday 6 December 2024 - 19:30

East Ruston Village Hall
Greg was so excited by this gig, to be held in his home village, that when asked to proof read the advert to appear in the Village Hall News he failed to spot the mistake. We were raising funds for the village hall at what was billed as a "Blues and Drinks Night" as their bar was open. Now we can't get the time The Blues Brothers hijacked The Good Ole Boys gig out of our mind.
It's great to report that we were immediately offered a further in mid-2025 when the hall celebrates its centenary.
Friday 15 December 2023
Homestead Place, Stalham
This is a "private" event limited to residents and friends at this retirement complex. That's why we're not telling you the time. If you have a friend living there, I'm sure they'll invite you to join them at the gig. All the ticket money will be going to the charity Lymphoma Action.
Saturday 30 September 2023
Stalham Baptist Church - 19:00
It'd been nearly a year and again we're playing a FREE concert at the church. This time Come along and give a donation to the causes for which we are raising money, MIND, the mental health charity, and EACH, East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
Friday 17 March 2023
Honing Village Hall - 19:00
We played a FREE concert at in the bar after they had stopped serving food at the village club's regular "Basket Meal Night". Think of it as a cabaret session if you're feeling posh! That was to be our last gig for a while as Chris had to go to Australia!
Saturday 26 November 2022
Stalham Baptist Church - 19:00
We're playing a FREE concert at the church to help raise funds so they can refurbish its "School Room". That's the hall that can be used for all manner of community events. They're over half way to their £600,000 target currently. Come along and give a donation for the cause!
Tuesday 17 May 2022
The Poppy Centre - Stalham - 19:00
At last, we'll be back playing to the public! We'll be one of the acts performing at a concert to raise funds for Ukraine. Hosts for the night are a Ukulele Band, but we'll be playing in our new format with Greg playing far fewer instruments than before.
Friday 29 November 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
You've noticed! There's an upset in our calendar! Due to other commitments we are unable to make the last Friday in October at the Wheatsheaf, but we will be back for our regular "Last Friday" date in November.
Friday 27 September 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
It's got to the stage where we don't need to announce our gig at the Wheatsheaf. The regulars know and keep coming back. Those who check out this page regularly will know this date wasn't posted till after the event.
Friday 30 August 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
Once again, we'll be back at our favourite Wheatsheaf with new songs for you to hear. We're told that the landlord now warns (correction: informs) patrons who book a table for a meal that we'll be there, not that we're the kind of band that plays so loud you can't have a conversation with your partner across a dining table.
Friday 26 July 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
After the new landlord had heard our complete set in June it seems he is happy with what we do! At least we've been re-booked for our regular Last Friday slot. We enjoy it. Come along. See what you're missing.
Friday 28 June 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
Refreshed after his planned trip to Holland (that ended up being France) the band is back at our bassist's local. We promised a whole new repertoire! Perhaps not, but there were a few numbers that were new for us if not to you.
Monday 6 May 2019
Recreation Ground - Stalham - 14:00
So much for the Post-Brexit Blues! Like Brexit the trip to Europe has been delayed as well, so there's time to squeeze in a charity gig before we take an extended break. At least 27 people will be running a mile each, so that's the excuse to call the event the "May Day Holiday Marathon". In fact the numbers are now over 40. We'll be providing the sound track to the event so come along ready to offer to sponsor a worthy cause.
Friday 26 April 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
Another visit to "our local". There may need to be a break before a further gig as one of our members is threatening post-Brexit Blues which, it seems, can only be cured with an extended trip to "the Continent".
Friday 29 March 2019
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
We'll be returning to "our local" for the first of what is planned to be a regular end of the month fixture.
Saturday 19 January 2019
Pleasure Boat Inn - Hickling - 19:30
We'll be providing musical accompaniment to diners in the restaurant at this well known waterside Broadland pub. Note the time we're due to start, so get your table booked early as we expect everyone to be tucked up in bed before we stop playing!
Sunday 2 December 2018
Park Farm Hotel - Hethersett - 14:00
This is a private party to which we've been invited. It seems we'll fill in the gap between desert and the speeches. That means that our usual groupies won't be able to join us for this gig. Sorry about that!
Friday 2 November 2018
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
After our first gig at the Wheatsheaf we were offered a fortnightly residency at the pub. Unfortunately, band members are committed to other things and it was impossible to respond. However we are delighted to be returning to the pub.
Friday 21 September 2018
The Wheatsheaf - West Beckham - 19:00
Our first gig. It went down so well we were invited back! Not only that a customer on holiday in the area asked us to play at his club in Felixstowe!
Saturday 8 September 2018
Bure Valley Railway - Aylsham - 15:00
Not truly a gig, just a handful of songs played at an open mic session that was part of Aylsham's Festival of Dance and Music. It was the first time the three us had played together to an audience after deciding this was going to be more than an excuse to jam together.
